Below the Knee (BK)

AKA: Transtibial Amputation

This is in reference to an amputation below the knee. It is important to know your options when you have this amputation. It is also important to know that you have a say in your care.

Your prosthetic journey is going to begin with a consultation with you and our team. Our team includes a prosthetist, a rehabilitation specialist, and our limb specialist who will be building your prosthetic. Some things that we want to discuss with you during your consult are the following:

  • Goals
  • Expectations
  • Concerns
  • Anything else you want to know!

We are your team, and we want what is best for you. Our process works a little bit differently than most. During your treatment you are the only patient we are working with. A lot of companies treat upwards of 50+ patients at a time, but MedFitPro only builds one. We want your care and recovery to be our focus.
